This book just got zero emotions out of me. But I definitely do see how so many people love this book and say it changed their lives.*I had to read this for school.
I was so excited going into the story. I came out, having so many mixed feelings about this book.- It was a rollercoaster that basically kept going down with a few up-going parts thrown in there.
- The writing kept me from making any connections. I couldn't sympathise with Ruby at all and, since I felt so distant from the story, didn't feel any strong emotions.
- I was constantly confused, I felt like most of the backround story was poorly explained.
- I thought the idea was so good and the story could've been, too. But because the author spent so much time being stuck in places that weren't interesting and not using the chances to really grab onto the interesting themes and storylines and take them to the next level , it just fell through for me.
- There were parts where I couldn't stop reading, wanting to see what's going to happen next.
- I loved the romance and a few of the relationships.
Now, don't get me wrong. I did like the book, and I am planning to read the next one when it comes out. I was planning on giving it 3/5 stars, but while writing the review, mostly negative things came to mind.

- The first half of the book was good, but it didn't really pull me in.
- The second part was a wonderfully-crafted emotional rollercoaster.
- I loved the narrator, Enzo. Seeing everything through the eyes of a smart, loving dog was very insightful.
- Great metaphors: "The car goes where the eyes go."
- The story made racing seem very fun and interesting.
- I thought the hope-filled ending was brilliant.

PS: Listening to the audiobook was a wonderful experience.
I loved this book so much! - Oh, the characters. They were very well-written. I cared for all of them, and they were so versatile.
- The world was scary and very real-feeling.
- I loved the concept and idea behind the book. It's unusual to see angels like this, but it actually made a lot of sense.
- Penryn was such a kick-ass heroine, one of the best I've read about.
- The pacing kept me gripped till the very end, and had me coming back to it whenever I could to find out what happens next.
If there's one thing to nag about, it's how little time we have to get to know Penryn's sister, Paige. Therefore we do not care as much as we could about Penryn's goal and the catalypse to the whole story.
Overall, it's a fantastic book that kept me on my toes from page one till the very end.
The sequel can't come fast enough!
This was a re-read for me. Maybe I just didn't get the right experience, or I've just become more criticising. - The characters were poorly written.
Hannah seemed real at times, and at others she seemed like someone the author conjured because she was the ideal for a story like this.
Clay seemed too perfect and boring. I couldn't find anyone to sympathise with or get emotional over.
The idea is still great, I just didn't experience any emotions this time. It might've been because I listened to the audiobook.
This book was awesome, fast-paced and entertaining. Though the rating lost a star because something was missing, it might've been because I read it while being at camp, so I had to read it in tiny chunks which usually down-grades my reading experience. - I thought the author's writing-style was fun to read and it didn't bother me like it does many people. - Whenever a book gets real emotion out of me, it's a huge plus.
- Aaron was a very surreal and scary character, and I'm still not sure if I thought he was well-written and interesting or just very predictable and annoying. - Manchee was my favourite character and his thoughts always got me laughing while drawing parallels with my own dog. I think mr. Ness wrote a wonderful character and I'd like to believe all dogs are just as sincere and faithul as him.

A great finish to this entertaining triology.It was so good, and then came the ending which, for me, was ridiculous and unrealistic.
- I loved that the book picked up really fast, although when I got past the halfway point, I felt like it started going downhill a bit and I started to lose interest.
- I listened to the audiobook and I thought the narrators were very good and I really liked the experience.
- It was a bit hard to care for the characters.
-The beginning was awesome; I was so sure I was going to give this book 5 stars. But the second half of the book was a bit of a let-down; it started dragging, repeating some parts we already knew. - I loved the writing. It was so easy to lose myself in the pages and forget the time and everything around me, which is not an easy thing to achieve with me.
- The book flew by, although I thought it could have been more fast-paced, and I'd hoped it would be more gritty.
Looking forward to the second one, I've heard it's even better than this one.
A beautifully written story of a tragic event, the aftermath, and the healing process of a community.- This novel really puts things in perspective. I felt like the concept of hate and how easily we throw the word around was dealt with very well and powerfully.
- The characters were so realistic. It really felt like if this were in real life then this is how the people would actually react and act.
- I loved Dr. Hieler, he was what this novel needed.
An enchanting read! I felt like I was dreaming.- The book has a contemporary feel to it, which I loved.
- There's not much action and the plot is rather slow-paced, but the gorgeous writing makes up for it.
- I loved the athmosphere, and the story is also really engaging and thoughtful.
3.5 stars. The book really picked up towards the end, and I'm hoping the third one isn't a let-down.
3.5 stars.- The first half of the book was slow, annoying, confusing and just not good.
- The style of writing annoyed me, but it got better as the story progressed.
- I loved the second part of the book. The pace quickened, the style got better, and, finally, Juliette basically woke up. It saved the whole thing for me.
- The characters were pretty good. They kept me on my toes as I didn't know whom to trust till the very end.
Overall, I'm excited to continue with the story, and I hope the sequel picks up and is better.

- I loved how all the storylines twined together so brilliantly.- The world, characters, events, etc were all very realistic and well-written.
- The writing was choppy at times and over-descriptive (I made two sandwiches, then I ate them. I also drank a glass of water, etc.), but it contributed to it being very realistic.
- Lisbeth's character was so interesting, and I loved to read all her thoughts and comments.
- Mikael brought enjoyable humor to this otherwise serious and scary story.
